On May 18, 2019, KB had the pleasure of returning to Cason's Cove for another wedding. It had only been eight months since our last Cason's Cove wedding, and in true Gabby fashion she had completed a years worth of updates and changes in that short amount of time. One thing that we love about Cason's is how the owner, Gabby, is constantly striving to improve, change, and grow her venue.
For this wedding, Lauren and Brandon chose our Last Minute Coordination package. In the wedding world this is also known as Day of Coordination. In this package we work leading up to the wedding to contact vendors, establish a day of timeline, ensure that everyone is where they need to be at every moment of the day, and put out any fires that might pop up so the bridal party can relax and enjoy their day. Kacey and I enjoy this package because we always know there will be some sort of adventure that comes up. We like the spontaneity that this package brings.
Lauren and Brandon were awesome to work with. They both had such a fun, laid back bridal party. Everyone was genuinely thrilled for them and loving all the wedding day festivities. I realized quickly as I was unexpectedly driving all the girls to the venue in Lauren's dad's van that this was going to be a fun wedding.
Everything went smoothly, even though we ran behind schedule a little and didn't rehearse until a few hours before the wedding. I think things went smoothly because of the great attitudes everyone had. They just went with the flow of the day. One hiccup was when we realized the garter was missing. After several attempts at creating a new one we finally decided we had time for our intern, Olivia, to run to buy a new one. Moments like these remind me why we offer this package. Instead of Lauren not having a garter or having one made out of random ribbon, she had exactly what she wanted without any stress. A garter might seem like a small issue on such a huge day, but when a bride has worked so hard to plan every moment, that small issue can feel gigantic. Lauren was not upset or bothered by the issue, but she was so appreciative that we were able to solve the problem.
Lauren and Brandon had such an amazing lineup of vendors. Her photographer, Kirstie Whitaker, is one of our absolute favorites. She provides stunning images and an even more impressive attitude to work with. Her twin, KJ Carver, worked alongside her as the videographer. KJ's company, Carver Film Co., does amazing wedding day videos. Steven Williams of Swill Mobile Entertainment provided the DJ services for the night. Mission Catering prepared the most amazing food stations and desserts. Smith Co. Designs provided Lauren and Brandon with beautiful wedding flowers. Cowan and Co. did hair and make-up which lasted all day and night in the heat. They really had the dream team of vendors. KB couldn't have asked for better people to collaborate with.
To Lauren & Brandon,
Thank you, thank you, thank you! We appreciate you trusting us to keep your day on track. You two share such a special bond that was so apparent throughout this entire process. Your wedding was perfection. Thank you for being so much fun and so willing to not stress over the little things. Congratulations!
