Sarah + Joe

June 1, 2019

Sarah and Joe. Calm, cool, and collected. This couple from day one was nothing but laid back and easy going. Sarah, a family friend, had very specific yet open minded views about her wedding day. She was such a fantastic bride to work with because she trusted us. She would bring us her vision and then allow us to expand on her ideas for maximum impact.

Her color palette of blush, burgundy, and peachy pinks were a dream to play with. Her idea of a wooden cross at the ceremony was a definite floral bucket list item for Kacey. Using the most delicious deep burgundy roses and peonies against the neutral bridesmaid dresses created a warm, romantic feeling. Sarah chose dark wood stained boxes filled with her amazing color palette as her centerpieces. We paired the white linens with deep burgundy napkins. She also had menus and table numbers that perfectly accented all of her color choices. For a personal touch, Sarah and Joe asked for family members to provide their wedding day photos to hang behind the sweetheart table on the stall doors of Highland Stables. This not only framed up their table nicely, it provided guests with a glimpse into their rich family history.

For dinner, Sarah and Joe worked with Diane Thurmond Catering. A choice of chicken or salmon with multiple side options and the most delicious fruit tea left guests feeling full and satisfied. Going against the traditional wedding cake choice as the only dessert, Sarah and Joe served pies along with a small strawberry cake from the BG Cake Lady. Their 25 pies came from the Pie Queen out of Boyce, Kentucky. This unique alternative was a crowd favorite all evening.

Sarah chose our Partial Planning Package as well as a floral design package. We love this combination so much because it allows us to work closely with the bride's vendors and help on the design aspect of the wedding. Kacey and I find design to be our favorite part of weddings. From flowers to table decor, design is our passion. This wedding was such a great way to kick off our 2019 wedding season. Working at Highland Stables with Kaleighn was a real treat for us! Looking back over the whole experience, we could not have asked for a better bride, groom, extended family, venue, photographer, caterer, DJ, and the list goes on and on. We are so thankful for another opportunity to share our love for weddings and flowers!

To Sarah and Joe-

We cannot thank you enough for allowing us to share in your wedding and your lives. Working together brought us such joy. Your easy going nature and love for one another made this a perfect match for KB. We wish you many years of happiness and love!
